“Being a cog in the visual media making machine.”

I am a graduating photographer, influenced by cinema and engaged in themes of storytelling and character creation. Within that I am a unit stills photographer capturing behind the scenes magic on film productions and sets. 

My work focuses on scale and drama, I am always wanting to create an eye-catching image with interesting uses of colour, composition and overall production.  Using this approach I work with actors and models where together we create a scene with a specific look, feel and mood.  My work presents as a single shot taken out of a film; I like this idea of audience interaction within my practice and by removing context from my images, allows the viewer to imprint their own story onto the characters and scene in the image. My style can be described as having an illusion of movement contrasted with the inherent stillness of a single image.
